Tina Foti

Tina Foti 1937-2013 Salt Lake City, Utah -Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, sister, and friend Tina (Floratina) Gallegos Foti passed away on November 2, 2013 after a sudden illness. She was 76 years old. Tina was born on July 26, 1937 in Durango, Colorado to Rosendo Gallegos and Bersable Gurule. After her mother's death she moved to Abiquiu, New Mexico to live with her grandparents. She was 7 years of age. She moved to Utah in her early twenties with her sister Sar. She married Demetrio Foti on August 15, 1964 and later divorced. Tina raised five children and helped raise her grandchildren. She worked at UTA for 26 years and retired in December 2000. Mom was hard working and dedicated to her family. She enjoyed cooking for them and teaching them how to cook. She loved doing crafts and going to the thrift stores in search of a "good deal". Mom enjoyed spending time with her family with whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her daughters; Ramona (Francisco) Sanchez, Debbie Perez, Carol (Doug) Hansen, Tracy Dockery, son; Demetrio (Brenda) Foti, brothers; Fasio Stuckman, Salvador Stuckman, 9 grandchildren; Vangie Romero, Monique Salazar, Frank (TJ) Kelly III, Wesley Kelly, Antonio Ortega, Alexandra Dockery, Brittany Foti, Melissa Foti, Demetrio (DJ) Foti IV, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Sar Manning, Elsa Montano, brother; Marcelino Gallegos, half-brothers; Gary Gallegos, Ricky Gallegos, Sam Chavez, granddaughter; Chantelle Kelly, great grandchild Brandon Padgett. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East where friends may visit with family from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery 2224 South 200 West.
