Tina Marie Luiting, 62, a long-time resident of Washington Terrace, passed away of natural causes on Friday morning, November 1, 2024, with her husband and son by her side. She was born in Ogden, Utah, on March 8, 1962, the daughter of Jesse Eugene and Stena Emeline Fredrickson Moyes. She graduated from Bonneville High School, Class of 1980.
On May 1, 1995, she married the love of her life, John Luiting in Riverdale, Utah. Tina and John lived in Okinawa, Japan for a year, and Edwards, California for two years, prior to returning to the Ogden area. The couple raised two children together, Trina and Nickolas. As a family they loved to celebrate each other’s successes and loved every moment. They went on many road trips together, but mostly they just loved spending quality time with each other.
Tina worked for many years as a cashier at AAFES, Shopko, and Walmart.
She loved crafts and tole painting. Her other hobbies included teaching many other people to paint, creating unique bead watch bands, collecting movies, and beating her friends and family in friendly games.
Tina will be remembered for the love and joy she shared with every life that she touched. We will miss her kindness, generosity, bravery, and courage.
Tina is survived by her husband of 29 years, John Luiting; daughter, Trina Luiting; son, Nickolas Luiting; and by her siblings, Vicki (Tom) Sawyer, Scott (Phillis) Moyes, Randy (Teresa Kraner) Moyes, and by her many nieces and nephews.
