LAYTON- Tina Marie Sassaman was born November 9, 1962 in Ogden, Utah to Cora Marie Sassaman. Tina died August 22, 2008 in Layton where she lived with her mother. Our Heavenly Father came and took her home where there will be no more suffering for her.

Tina was a very devoted Catholic and served God all her life. She wanted to be a Catholic nun but her extended illness prevented her. She was the kindest, giving person you could ever hope to meet. Her mother, sisters, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins will really miss her. But she has gone to a better place.

She is survived by her mother Cora Marie Sassaman, father Thomas J. Sassaman, sisters Elizabeth Sassaman, Sherrie Miles and nephew Brodie Miles.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and uncles.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 S. Chapel Street, Layton. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

Her mother, sisters and nephew loved her deeply and will miss her deeply.

The family would like to thank the Layton Fire Department, Paramedics and Police Department for all the loving care they have given her throughout the years.
