LAYTON a€" Todd Katsumi Suzuki, 39, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010 following a short illness.

He was born February 28, 1970 in Ogden, Utah the son of Kan Russell and Phyllis Ai Tadakuma Suzuki.

Todd married Shannon Keeney on July 15, 2005.

Todd had a passion for working with troubled kids, he was a Youth Corrections Counselor for many years. He then became a school counselor at Millcreek Youth Center and then moved to Washington High School in Ogden. Todd loved the youth he worked with and they loved him. He received his Masters Degree in Educational Counseling and with that knowledge he was better able to serve the youth.

Todd loved to play sports, and was known for his good sense of humor.

Surviving are his wife, Shannon Keeney, mother, Phyllis Suzuki, brothers, Chad (Tami) Suzuki, Troy (Stacy) Suzuki, nieces and nephews, Alex, Mara, Parker, and Amaya.

Preceded in death by his father, Kan Suzuki and grandparents, Haru/Yoshi Suzuki.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park Mausoleum, 4500 Washington Blvd.
