“Uncle Tom”, our beloved Brother, Uncle and Great Uncle passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home Friday, February 15, 2013 at the age of 58.
Tom was born in Logan, Utah to Maxine Law Pearce and Montieth Pearce. He grew up in Paradise, Utah, Japan, Logan, Utah and finally in Layton, Utah where he graduated High School in 1979. He moved to Roy in 1982.
He enjoyed working with his hands and worked many jobs, including Seismic Mapping of the Utah Mountains. He suffered brain damage while working in Aircraft Maintenance at Hill A.F.B. and was severely disabled, but he continued to contribute to others’ lives to the greatest extent he could. Family and friends always came first.
Tom made many friends in his life. He was a very warm hearted man. Always offering to help, whether to borrow his “stuff” or give you advice, especially on fishing and hunting, which he loved. He was unique in the way he showed love for others, but he was always true to himself and his friends, the best friend you could ever have. He loved to tell his stories, especially about the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his brothers, Terry V. (Gae) Pearce, Alpine, UT; Kelly M. (Sandra) Pearce, Roy, UT; Tony M. (Carrie) Pearce, Alpine, UT; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one niece, Carissa Pearce.
Graveside Services will be held, Saturday, Feb 23rd at 11 a.m. at the Paradise Cemetery in Paradise, Utah.
Friends and Family are welcome to attend.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary.
