WEST POINT – Tomio “Tom” Yamada, 83, of West Point passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in Clearfield following an extended illness.
He was born in Ogden, Utah, on March 24, 1924, the son of Shinichi and Suzumi Yamada.
He graduated from Davis High School in 1942 and served in the military (army) during WWII. He lived and farmed in Syracuse and West Point his entire life.
Tom married Yuriko Cherry Yamada on November 14, 1959, in Syracuse, UT. She passed away January 10, 1977.

Dad enjoyed baseball, bowling, hunting, and fishing in his younger years and after retiring from farming, he liked to work in his garden growing sweet corn, tomatoes, and Japanese potatoes (naga imo).
