Tommy Moss

Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of William Tommy Moss on December 26, 2023, surrounded by family, Tommy passed peacefully at the age of 71.

Preceded in death by his father William Leonard Moss and La-Verda ‘Babe’ Youngberg.

Tommy is the beloved father of Megan Moss (Ben), Amber Lee (Bryan), Amanda Johnson (Brady), and Ezra Moss (Kayla).  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Olivia, Kelsie, Gretchen, Noah, Layni, Claire, Scarlett, Nora, Bailey, and Jackson, who were his greatest pride and joy.  He will also be missed by Linda Moss (sister), Glen Peterson (brother), Terry Lucille Moss (former wife), as well as his extended family and his many friends.

Tommy spent the last few years of his life with his high school sweetheart Kathy Thatcher.

Tommy graduated from South High School in 1970.  He had a long career with ConocoPhillips as a skilled mechanic, project manager, and consultant.  After retiring, and because he loved to keep busy, he worked for Ace Hardware, just for fun.

As an avid golfer he spent hours on the course perfecting his game and temper. His calm, loyal demeanor attracted a large collection of lifelong friends.  He found joy in feeding the birds, watching movies, a game of cards, and watching football. (GO UTES!)

Though Tommy was well traveled and lucky enough to see many parts of the world, he loved being home surrounded by the company of friends and family.  He will best be remembered for his wicked sense of humor, there was nothing he loved more than making you laugh.  Our beloved father, grandfather, companion, and friend, Tommy, was deeply loved by everyone who knew him.  His fun-loving, loyal spirit, strength and determination showed us all how to live.  We are all better for knowing him.

Two memorials will be held in his honor.
