Tommye Lou Adams
9/15/1937 - 6/28/2015
Tommye Louise Gurley born September 15, 1937 in Fort Worth, Texas to James and Emily Louise Gurley. Married Reed Larson Adams June 9, 1955. They lived in Texas until 1960 while Reed finished dental school. They moved to Kaysville in 1960 where she resided all of her life.
She was very involved in church and community. She served in many callings in the Kaysville 2nd ward, including many years as the Relief Society president. She was a Rotary Club wife, Orchid Club president, and little league mom. Tommye loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and was seldom found without one or more on her lap. She passed away peacefully surrounded by many of them. She was very loving and giving and will be greatly missed. She had battled the effects of Alzheimers the last four years so her death was a great blessing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reed, and her children Tammye, Scott, and Lori. Survived by her children Ron, Lynn, Vicki, 30 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Honoring her request, a simple graveside service will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Road. Friends and family are invited.
Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main.
