April 2, 1934 ~ November 29, 2015

Tony L. Toscan, 81, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on April 2, 1934 in Ogden, Utah.  Tony was the son of Phillip and Anna Rossi Toscano.  He grew up in Ogden, graduated from Ogden High School, where he was an outstanding athlete and made many lifelong friends. He attended Weber College, and served in the Army, stationed in New Jersey.

He married Carolyn Sue Thomas on February 11, 1953.  She was the love of his life.

Tony established Tony’s Pizza in South Ogden in 1963 and continued “going to work” until the time of his death.

He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Tony enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, trips to Wendover, and his favorite pastime was spending time with his family.

Tony is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue; son, Michael (Patrick Whitmore) Toscan; daughters, Toni (Tim) Pales, Paula (Ken) Carman; and Tina (Ron) Sanchez; ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jim, John, and Dick; his infant son, John Phillip; and his in-laws Jack and Bobbie Thomas.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Ogden City Cemetery.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Anne’s Shelter.  In Tony’s honor, please perform a random act of kindness.
