Tracy Ray Spinks
WEST POINT – Tracy Ray Spinks, 55, returned to the arms of our Lord on August 19, 2013. He now is joined with his parents and two brothers. Tracy was born on February 20, 1958 in Layton, UT to James E. and Willa Mae Payne Spinks.
He attended Layton schools and entered the Marine Corps after high school. Tracy served his country for 20 years and he was a proud Marine, a leader and served in Desert Storm. He was employed at Hill AFB for over ten years. He was also a boxing promoter and loved the sport.
Tracy is survived by his wife Carol, daughters Caroline and Crystal, step-sons Daniel and Jacob; brothers Edward, Irven, Arthur, sister Bernadette Kemp; eight step-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Anthony and Iven.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. Friends may visit family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Interment will be at Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
