Travis Jay Campf
December 17, 1979 ~ November 21, 2017
Travis Jay Campf was born, December 17th, 1979, to Lorrie Del Thackeray and Richard Jay Campf, in Ogden Utah at Mckay Dee Hospital. Travis was full of life. He loved to be home and watch Saturday morning cartoons such as Transformers, Thunder cats, He-man, Etc.
Travis and Lorrie soon met Ronald Loyd Godwin Sr and lived in a little apt off of Jackson Ave. Where Ronald and Lorrie would soon get in engaged and start a life together.
On July 3rd 1987 Travis was involved in a major car accident that broke his C-1 bone in his neck and was paralyzed from the neck down. This was a life changing event that happened to Travis. The doctors only gave Travis 5 - 10 years to live but Travis was no normal kid, Travis lived a long healthy life for 33 more years!
Travis had two siblings Ronald Godwin Jr (28) and Faustine Godwin (27), Travis loved spending time with his brother and sister they would always do a lot of fun things such as pull them around on a skate board or skates in the drive way in his wheel chair or sit next to Travis and watch movies with him.
Life is not something Travis would ever tell someone to give up on. He was paralyzed for 33 years and lived his life to the fullest. Travis was a inspiration to a lot of people and a hero to all!
Travis' family would like to send out a special thank you to Mckay-Dee Hospital for all the hard work and dedication that they showed Travis Campf over the past 33 years!
We would love family and friends to please join us to celebrate Travis' life on Saturday, November 25, 2017, for a viewing from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. and celebration of life at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary 3408 Washington Blvd. Any flowers or donations please send to the mortuary.
