Travis Bruce Messerly

October 19, 1977 ~ February 1, 2019

The rainbow disappeared, the star twinkled bright, as our son returned home. He passed away doing what he loved the most, taking his final Harley ride in Palm Deseret, California. Travis was born in Ogden, but lived most of his life in California.

Travis had the biggest heart of gold and he gave the biggest bear hugs. When he hugged you it was felt from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes. He had his struggles in life but he came full circle and was doing great. Just days prior to his tragic accident he mentioned not to walk away from someone homeless, struggling with addiction or whatever they are going through without at least saying “God Bless” or doing something nice for them because you may be one to help change their life. Travis was always concerned about those in need.

His first love was spending time with his children; they were number one is his life. He loved his family dearly and kept and treasured cards and envelopes they sent him. One of his greatest joys was working hand in hand with his father Bruce. He will be truly missed.

Travis leaves behind his partner, Tiffany Messerly; children, Troy and Taylor Messerly; mom, Alyson (Jeff) Yoshimura; siblings, Britney Murphy, Dustin (Amy) Messerly, and Amberly Black; and many other loved ones who will miss him dearly. Travis was able to greet his dad with open arms in heaven just nine days later.

A Celebration of Life will be held with his dad on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 975 Wall Ave., Ogden.
