ROY a" My daddy, my husband, my son, my brother, my friend went home to be with God on Sunday, January 23, 2011.
Travis Brent Wood was born April 6, 1970 in Ogden, Utah to Brent and Toni Johnson Wood. He graduated from Weber High School in 1988, where he excelled in many sports.
He was an avid sportsman. He loved hunting and was looking forward to teaching Makinzee all there was to know.
Travis married Jenni Buonocore on August 5, 1994 and from this union was born the most beautiful little girl in the world, Makinzee Kelli Wood. He was the best dad a little girl could ever want and a wonderful husband. He pushed her to be the best dancer where she excelled and won many competitions with some of the finest teachers at Starstruck Studio. He taught her to hunt, fish, shoot a rifle, everything he did he made sure Kinzee would learn to be as good as he was.
He was a member of the Utah Airboat Association and Western Wingshooter.com.
Travis is survived by his wife, Jenni, daughter, Makinzee, parents, Brent and Pamela Seamons Wood, Tom and Toni Johnson Baker, his sisters, Brandi (William) Fox , Randi (William) Nelson, Becky (Randy) Douglas, all of Plain City; a brother, Dean Tom Baker, Las Vegas, NV; grandparents, Virginia Huff, Jack and Connie Seamons, his mother and father-in-law, Sherrie and Tom Lewis, Layton; father-in-law, Tony Buonocore, Ogden; nieces, Madison, Mykahla, Shaylynn, Tessa, and nephews, Jeffery, Jake and Dakota.
Travis leaves with a legacy of love and a lot of laughter which we will carry with us the rest of our lives.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 28th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
The family will meet friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
