Tresure D. Knaak
Sweet Little Baby, You’re Homeward Bound
CLEARFIELD – Tresure Denise Knaak, born September 19, 1952 to John and Jessimae Barlow, returned to our Lord Saturday morning, January 30, 2010. Her passing was sudden and unexpected following a history of poor health. She left behind her husband, Sammy; her two children, Summer and Holden; and her beloved Chihauhua, Zip.
Tresure was an accomplished artist who excelled at playing and composing music and writing poems and lyrics. It was her performance of “How Does It Feel,” a Tresure original, which stole the heart of her future husband, Sam. They married November 17, 1973 and started a family seven years later.
It was family Tresure devoted the majority of her life to. Thirty years she spent caring for her loved ones, sacrificing especially for her son, Holden, who was born severely disabled. She provided his every need well into her fifties. “For the ones you love,” she said. Tresure lived for love. Gruff and rough around the edges, she lived to love us, and she will be greatly missed.
Smokey mountain rivers,
Cast your spells on me,
I’m still a swaying,
Your charms won’t let me be.
