Our beloved and joyful Trey passed from us to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father in the early morning hours on February 20th. Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our son, brother, Grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend. He was the youngest of seven children and the heart and fun of our family.
His brother, who is serving a mission, wrote of him, saying, “Trey was a perfect example of what it means to be a Porter. I have 21 more months as a missionary, I will be serving for him. He always wanted to serve a mission so I will serve as Trey would.”
Treysen enjoyed life, making plans for family vacations so everyone could be together and making plans with friends. His heart was pure, and he was always looking for ways to help someone out or make someone feel better. He found ways to do odd jobs to make money so he could buy gifts for others. He looked up to his big brothers and wanted to be like them.
He looked forward to all his baseball, football and basketball games and loved being part of a team and working together. Win or lose, he played his heart out. He also loved camping, fishing, and all things outdoors.
Trey was in 6th grade at West Point Elementary and had many friends. He had neighbors across the street who loved to help conspire and plot their next adventures, or just shoot some hoops and be great buds.
Treysen’s passing has left a ripple effect of love and tender mercies, and a great outpouring of charitable giving; almost in remembrance of how Trey would give. We’re grateful to all who shared their love.
Trey leaves behind his parents, Rick & Holly, siblings, Allen (Fallon), Allexia, Jaden, Kolten, Temes & MeKailla, grandparents, David & Janece Long and Randy & Judy Porter, great grandparents, Richard & Shirlene Long, niece, Emrey Porter, and many other Family members who will miss him greatly.
