Troy “T-Bird” Jess Hill

Troy “T-Bird” Jess Hill, 49, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 5, 2022, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, surrounded by his loved ones.

Troy was born in 1972 in Burley, ID. The son of the late Frank and Marie Phillips Hill. Troy grew up in the Ogden area, spent time in California, and later returned to Utah.

He met and married Angela Bartholomew, with whom he shares two children. Although they later divorced, they remained good friends.      

Troy was a very artistic person, often finding work through art, carpentry, and construction. Troy was a very charming and loving man and often told jokes to cheer up the room. Troy had a great personality and could make friends wherever he went. He enjoyed drawing, tattooing, and creating. He was able to picture something in his mind and bring it to life, no matter how difficult or how long it took him.

Troy was very proud of his children, Bastian, Heather, Jacob, and Kami, and loved each of them very much. He loved being outdoors and fishing, especially with his children. Troy loved every moment he spent with his family and friends. 

Troy is survived by his children; sisters, Dawn Koyle Nozu, Angela Hill, and Jennifer Hill Kotter; grandchildren, Jazmine and Kameron Drake; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Elizabeth Betty Hill Orgill; uncle, Doug Hill, and grandchild, Drayden Drake.

There will be a family graveside service Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Ogden City Cemetery.
