Troy Earl Townsend

LAYTON – Troy Earl Townsend, 41, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Davis Hospital. Troy was born in El Monte, California, September 25, 1966, the son of Richard Cade and Donna Spears Townsend. He spent his early years in California and was raised in Utah. He loved camping, skiing, swimming, three-wheeling and landscaping. He was a member of the LDS Church. Troy is survived by his mother, Donna, his sons Marc and Chad, brothers, David (Susan) and Mike (Kristy), aunt Edie Piatt, uncles Kenny (Tammy) and Tim (Tammy), nieces, nephews and cousins (Jordan, Amanda, Dawn, Phylicia, Melissa, Casidee, Samantha, Alexander, Cameron, Donald, Trenton, and Brandon) who loved him. Friends and family may call on Monday, July 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Interment Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 4 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. A New Strength There are times in every life when we feel hurt or alone…But I believe that those times when we feel lost, and all around us seems to be falling apart are really bridges of growth. We struggle and try to recapture the security of what was, but almost in spite of ourselves…we emerge on the other side with a new awareness, a new strength.
