Trudi Marie Holbrook
March 23, 1953 ~ March 31, 2019
Trudi Marie Holbrook was born on March 23, 1953 in Ogden, Utah. She grew up in Kaysville and spoke of a fun-filled childhood in a close knit community and graduated from Davis high school. She lived with her husband in Farmington for 8 years and then started a family in Morgan for 3 years and then lived in Mtn. Green for 30 plus years.
Trudi was a Christian woman who loved God and people and demonstrated this through her friendliness, compassion, and generosity. Much of the time she doted over her grandson and often putting others before herself and by being there for family and friends. Throughout her life she tutored children to read in Morgan Elementary, lead a girl scout troop, helped with Sub for Santa, with various church duties, and started a Prayer Shawl Ministry. She enjoyed traveling with family, knitting and crocheting, baking, and buying gifts for people.
Survived in death by her husband, Bert C. Holbrook; mother, Mary Rutledge; daughter, Amanda Holbrook (Santi) Sanchez; son-in-law, Santi Sanchez; and grandson, Mathias Sanchez. Preceded in death by her brother, Tom Rutledge; and father, Sherm Rutledge.
She passed away March 31, 2019 in her sleep.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Mtn. Green Cemetery, 5378 West Old Hwy Rd., Mtn. Green. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
