Tsuneko (Toni) McCauley January 23, 1923 a�" November 7, 2013
Tsuneko (Toni) McCauley passed away at her home on a beautiful Thursday afternoon with the warm sun shining through the window. She was born on January 23, 1923 in Nagano-Ken, Japan. On August 6, 1957 she married James C. McCauley in Fukuoka, Japan. Toni lived at her home in Sunset for over 48 years.
She was a hard worker and was employed at NSC as a seamstress for 17 years. Over the years, she also worked at Sierra Lingerie, Max Factor, and American Gourmet. Toni was proud to have never missed a day of work in her entire career. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, trips to Wendover and spending time with family and friends. She loved her dogs, especially Lacy and Hunter.
She is survived by her daughters, Scarlet Hartwell of Ogden, UT and Frances Williams Jones of Nashville, TN; sons, Patrick McCauley of Ogden, UT and John McCauley of Eden, UT; her beloved Brother Tatsumi Tanaka of Tokyo, Japan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins in both Japan and the US. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James; parents, Yonesaku and Fuji Ushiama; two brothers, and one sister. Special thanks to Gina Mae for all her love and care that she gave Mom. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Douglas Military Cemetery, 421 Chipeta Way, Salt Lake City.
