Twyla Mae Shumway Stuart Peters

LAYTON - Twyla Mae Peters passed away June 16, 2012 in Ogden, Utah. She was born on November 2, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Floyd and Ella Shumway. She married Carl M. Stuart on October 31, 1950. She later married John J. Peters on November 17, 1973. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Twyla served so many people in her life. She was always taking care of someone that her parents, in-laws, children, nieces, nephews, and friends brought home. She enjoyed listening and dancing to country music. Everyone came to Twyla to learn how to make pie crust.

Surviving are her daughter, Angela Stuart; son Ron (Tracy) Stuart; grandchildren, Carl, Ryan, Dallis, Samuel, and Zoey.

Preceded in death by her parents, both spouses, brothers Eldon, William and Donald Shumway; sister Bonita Evanson and grandson, Kyle M. Carter.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Friends may meet with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary prior to services.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
