Ty Ray Richins
SYRACUSE – Ty Ray Richins, 40, passed away October 26, 2008 due to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. He was born October 16, 1968 in Ogden, UT to Jerry Wayne and Dee
Ann Nelson Richins. He graduated from Yerba Buena High, San Jose, CA in 1986. Ty married Nancy Lynn Marchese on May 30, 1998 in Ogden, UT.
Ty proudly served his country in the Army Reserve from 1988-1990 (Gulf/Desert Storm) and reenlisted again in May of 2007 to serve with the 146th Transportation Division, Ogden, UT. He was employed with UPS Freight as a triples Freight driver for seven years. He was a Post 87 member and a member of the Syracuse LDS 6th ward.
Ty was full of love, life, and enthusiasm and you always knew when he was in the room. He loved his family with all his heart and soul. It was his joy in life to spend every spare moment with them. He loved the outdoors. Camping, hunting, boating, (well, dumping people off the tube anyway…), his dogs, BBQing in his back yard, talk radio, and giving impromptu history quizzes and you’d sure better know the answers! He was extremely opinionated and enthusiastically “encouraged” others to see his point of view. Because of his deep patriotism and love of country,
he would “encourage” those reading this to not vote Obama!
His perfect day would be up at dawn and taking his dog duck hunting, and coming home to whip up one of his awesome BBQ’s for family and friends. He sure could cook! His father was his best friend and hero, and his mother would put up with all their boyish antics knowing how deeply he loved and respected her like a good, loyal, loving son does.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Nanny), Richins, his three sons, Eric Richins, Colby Marchese, and Christopher Richards all of Syracuse, his daughter Taylene Richins, his parents, Jerry and DeeAnn Richins of Syracuse, grandmother, Dora Richins of Ogden, sisters Cindee (husband Randy) Bennett of Kaysville, and Annie (husband Jody) Caldwell of Idaho, his brother Lynn Richins of CO, seven uncles, seven aunts, married into an additional five brothers-in-law, five sister-in-laws, and a total of eleven nieces and thirteen nephews. Ty also leaves loving friends, neighbors, co-workers and military brothers. It is with extremely heavy hearts that we all bid Ty a loving farewell. He will be immeasurably missed by all. He was one of a kind, unforgettable and irreplaceable.
He is preceded in death by his Grandfather, Wayne Richins, his Grandparents Ray and Thelma Nelson and brother, Brett Richins.
