SOUTH OGDEN- An angel lent to us was called back late Friday night. Ty Jeffrey Torghele passed away on October 11, 2013, surrounded by family and friends who loved him. He was born August 21, 2005 in Ogden, Utah to Tracy Ann Hales and Jeffrey James Torghele. Given a body wracked with physical challenges, Ty stood like a giant in the hearts of all who met him. Though he needed help doing things, and did things a different way, Ty was like any other boy. He loved Ninja Turtles, Toy Story, Cars, dinosaurs, coloring, and reading books. Snuggling with his mom and spending time watching sports with his dad were his favorite pastimes. He thought he was a cowboy and loved horse therapy. He enjoyed swimming, going to the movies, and being with friends. He found pride in playing games and communicating through Eagle Eyes. Ty was most happy when he was the center of attention. His smile, laughter, and sense of humor were contagious and he always lit up the room.
Though Ty could not speak, he taught volumes with his attitude- about courage, patience, strength, willingness, faith, happiness, and most of all about love, unconditional and pure. If you were one of the lucky few to know him, you have found yourself forever changed. His life was short in years, but he filled it with love enough to last a lifetime. Ty is gone now, with a wink and a smile, home to heaven where all of his physical woes will fall away, where he will stand forever with the mighty and strong.
Ty leaves behind by his mother, Tracy Ann Hales; father, Jeffrey James Torghele; grandparents, David and Lesa Hales and James and Charlotte Torghele; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love him dearly. The family would like to thank Primary Children''s Medical Center and all others who have worked to aid and assist Ty over the years.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
There are not words enough to say how much we will miss you sweet boy, and we will never forget all the things you taught us.
In Ty''s honor, the family asks that you share a smile to brighten another''s day. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Primary Children''s Medical Center.
