Tyler Burton

Tyler A. Burton, 18, of Layton, moved on to a higher league on February 22, 2016. He was born March 2, 1997 in Layton, the son of Mike and Cori Burton. He graduated from Layton High School in 2015, where he was a member of the Davis County Independent hockey team. He was also a member of the Ogden Mustangs Hockey team of 2015.

Tyler’s love was hockey. Hockey was his life and his passion. He was an avid fan, and loved all the games he played in. Tyler loved being part of a team and loved all of his teammates; they were his family on the ice rink. Tyler was an energetic young man. He was out-going, sweet and loving towards everyone. He gave the warmest hugs. He was a loving son, brother, grandson and uncle. He left behind family members and friends that love him very much and will continue to love him.

Tyler is survived by his parents Mike and Cori Burton; his siblings, Nicole and Mike Bolinski, Kyle and Kim Burton, Brooke and Casey Williams, Kristin Burton and Ahren Verigin, Kasey Burton and Diego Villegas, Joshua Burton, and Aaron Burton. Tyler also is survived by his nieces and nephew Kennady Skougard, Luke Bolinksi, and Paytyn and Preslie Williams. He also leaves his grandparents, Don and Laura Burton, and Sherrie Rogers, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Tyler is now in better hands and is at peace. Please help us celebrate his life.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
