Tyler Garrison Malmrose, 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. He was born on June 13, 1954 in Salt Lake City, the son of Ray Eugene Malmrose and Darlene Garrison Malmrose O’Connor. He attended Box Elder High School and graduated from Weber State College with a bachelor degree in Psychology.

 

He worked as a Procurement Specialist at Autoliv for 30 years before retiring.

 

Tyler was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

 

He enjoyed reading, music, and gardening. Everyone he knew benefited from the fruits of his labor from his garden, especially his fantastic tomatoes.

 

The drama of the 1850 Killing of Shoshone Chief Terikee unfolded in Tyler’s backyard. As a result, Tyler chaired the Terikee Monument Project which is available for all to see at 1275 North Harrisville Road. He also served on the Harrisville Planning Commission and other city steering committees where his intelligence, dedication, common sense and wisdom greatly benefited his neighborhood and community.

 

Tyler is survived by his sisters and brother, Alisa Malmrose (Jim) Cosper, Janet Malmrose Frodsham, and Rees Hyrum Malmrose; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Eric Paul Malmrose; nephew, Cody Frodsham and niece, Amber Frodsham.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
