Our beautiful, kind hearted son, Tyler returned home June 4, 2024 at the age of 20. He was born in Salt Lake City on April 22, 2004 to Christopher and Diana Schwab. As a child he loved looking for spiders, digging in the dirt, riding bikes, being in Scouts and going to Lagoon with his brother and cousins.
Tyler's journey, though brief was marked by his kind heart and compassion for animals. Tyler volunteered with his mom at Furever Friends Animal Oasis for 3 years. He socialized with the cats to help them get ready to be adopted. His hobbies included skateboarding, fly fishing, hiking and exploring rivers in the mountains of Wyoming, Utah and Alaska. He and his dad spent many hours in the mountains fly fishing and enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors. He especially loved the ocean and spending time with family and friends at the family camp in Hannah, Utah.
Our favorite times with Tyler were spent just hanging out and talking. He was incredibly funny, empathetic and understanding and we cherished our time with him. Tyler did not care for school, but he worked hard and got his high school diploma from Triumph Academy in 2022. He was very proud of that. Tyler adored his cat, Bean and would insist that someone walk with her in the backyard to keep her from escaping to the neighbors.
Tyler is survived and deeply missed by his loving parents Christopher and Diana Schwab, brothers Christopher Jr., and Trevor Schwab, sister Kimberly Ann (Chase) Cook, niece Madeleine Jo Cook, grandma Ann Stoic and grandparents Alfred and Caridad Schwab. He also leaves behind a close knit family of many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandpa Charles Stoic, grandma Madeleine Ozolins and cousin Brianna Gordon.
Our hearts are broken by the loss of our sweet Tyler and we take comfort knowing we will see him again. We will miss you forever Ty Guy.
