Ubaldo (Wally) Miera

Ubaldo (Wally) Miera, 87, passed away June 19, 2010 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

He was born October 10, 1922 in Lumberton, New Mexico to Belarmino and Genevieve Miera. He is a Veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army. He married Carlotta Montoya on November 4, 1942. She preceded him in death on August 15, 1987.

He married Carmen Martinez June 2, 1989; she preceded him in death January 2010.

He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

He is survived by one daughter Anna Miera, Roy, UT; one son LeRoy (Pam) Miera, Prescott, AZ; step-son Ernest Martinez, Ogden, UT; step-daughter LuAnn (Ken) Kamigaki, Ogden, UT; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother Horace Miera, Colorado Springs, CO and numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 S. Chapel St. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
