Val Spencer Sorensen, 77, our loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa, returned to his Heavenly Home on July 24, 2022.
Val was born on September 17, 1944, in Murray, Utah, to Case Squire and Virginia Parker Sorensen. He was the 4th child and the only boy. His three older sisters were Marlisse, LaJuana, and Shelba.
He married his eternal companion, Virginia Jensen, on August 26, 1966, in the Manti Temple. They had 56 beautiful years together, raising a family, and moving more times than we can count.
Val graduated from Bountiful High School in 1962. He also graduated from Weltech Electronic College. He worked with his Dad from a very young age, and was involved in his parents’ business, ReNue Tool, in Bountiful. He had a number of careers throughout his life, including a field technician for Xerox, and was the owner of Southern Rim Corp, building over 150 homes in the Cedar City area.
Val loved horses, camping, and being outdoors. He enjoyed exploring any dirt road he could find-or even making one of his own. He also had a gift for making everyone laugh, and turning any occasion into a party.
Val was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served faithfully in many callings, as well as a mission to Martin’s Cove with his wife, Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; Kids: Todd (Anita), Soren (Grace), Stephanie Snow (Craig), Trent (Emily), Keith (EmJ); 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his sister, Shelba.
