Valorie Andrews

Valorie Jo Chesser Andrews

October 13, 1979 ~ August 9, 2017

Valorie unexpectedly passed away August 9, 2017 from complications due to cancer, which she valiantly fought for over a year.

Valorie was born October 13, 1979 to Joseph Lawrence Chesser and Susan Kaye Belich Chesser and was an answer to a six year old's fervent prayers for a little sister.

Valorie graduated from Northridge High school and attended Weber State University majoring in History.

Valorie was an excellent writer, her writing would transform you into another world. This talent led her to win a writing essay along with 13 other 9th graders in 1995 to represent Utah for the announcement of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games which took place in Budapest, Hungary.

In May of 2001 her beautiful daughter, Emmah Hope made her dreams come true of becoming a mother, then in February of 2004 that dream doubled when she welcomed another beautiful daughter, Catalina Jo. She was an amazing, loving, and supportive mother. She taught her daughters to love and accept others just the way they were. She was so proud of them and their accomplishments.

She met and married the love of her life, Tyler Blake Andrews in the Logan LDS Temple April 4, 2008. She adored him from the moment they had met. He instantly became a dad to her sweet girls and a loving, inseparable bond was created. Valorie fought long and hard so that Tyler would be able to make their bond official. In December of 2014, he was able to adopt them and they became an eternal family.

She always has rooted for the underdog and truly wanted them to prevail. She loved everyone, especially those who desperately needed a friend. She was very in tuned with other's feelings and needs. She always brought meals to those who needed them without complaining or feeling she had to do so. When attending an event for a friend or loved one she loved to color coordinate her family's attire to match that person's favorite color, to show love and support for them.

She is survived by her husband Tyler and daughters Emmah and Cata, her father Larry (Elaine) Chesser, sisters Marci (Clint) Hall, Kimberly (Matt) Sheppard, father and mother-in-law Blake and Ruth Andrews, brothers-in-law Brian (Jessica), Trevor (Lauren), Casey, Devon (Samantha) Andrews, sisters-in-law Aimee, Bekki, Tori and Alli Andrew, many nieces and nephews whom she loved as though they were her own, along with many loved ones who showed her their love and support.

Such a sweet reunion she is having with her beautiful Mom and Grandparents that have gone before her.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 17th at 11 a.m. at the Roy 16th Ward Chapel, 4524 S. 2525 W., Roy. The family will meet with friends and family on Wednesday, August 16th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment at the West Haven Cemetery, 1550 S. 2350 W., West Haven.

In true Valorie fashion, we ask that everyone attending her services wear her favorite color, purple if so inclined.

A special thanks to the medical teams of the U of U Huntsman Cancer Center and the U of U Medical Center for taking loving care of our sweet Valorie. And all of those that have brought meals, items, prayers, and love to her and her family in the recent months.
