Van Davis our beloved Father, Grandpa, Great-grandpa and Friend passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Ogden Regional Hospital from complications from a medical procedure.
Dad was born on May 15, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah a son of Melvin Harold Davis and Venice Ann Demler.
He married his eternal sweetheart,,Dee Davis, in the Logan Utah Temple on October 6, 1960.
Dad served in the United States Air Force and then worked at Hill Air Force Base as a Quality Control Specialist, where he retired after thirty years of professional and dedicated service.
He also worked for Ewing Irrigation serving the green industry for another eight years.
He loved his family as was so proud of each of us. He was so thoughtful and always let us know the talents and gifts he admired. Dad was an avid fisherman. He could keep you out on the waters of Strawberry Reservoir from dawn until dusk. Everybody who knew dad would always get a kick from his unique sense of humor! In his later years he loved using emoji’s in place of words while texting. He had a great smile and a positive attitude that was contagious.
Van is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law, JoDee and Curtis McCulloch, Nannette and Randy Kezior, Hallie and Duane Richards; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his granddaughter, Jayme Ponce.
Graveside services will be held on December 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park 4500 Washington Blvd., where military honors will be accorded. Services entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary.
