Vance L. Lisonbee
LAYTON – Vance Lee Lisonbee, 38, died Thursday, July 9, 2009 in his home surrounded by his family and friends after a brave battle with cancer.
Vance was born March 23, 1971 in Elko, Nevada to Melody Moody and Larry Lisonbee. Vance married Monica Ann Kemp on July 31, 1997 and then renewed their vows on April 23, 2004. Vance was baptized a member of the LDS Church in January 2004. He had a deep love for the gospel, had great faith and was a brave warrior up until the very end.
Vance loved the outdoors; he especially enjoyed fishing with his two best friends Troy Linger and Beau Hopkinson (with or without a license). Vance loved all sports and he excelled at them. His favorite team was the Oakland Raiders. And he loved watching NASCAR. He had a deep love for music. His favorite pastime was hiding from everyone else to spend time with his wife.
Vance is preceded in death by his mother Melody A. Saxton and many other loved ones before him. He is survived by his wife, father, step-father, grandmother, eight sisters, five brothers, 29 nieces and nephews and many friends. We will miss you, our COLT 45.
Memorial services will be held Thursday July 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Peterson Enterprise LDS Church, 4150 Old Highway Road, Enterprise, UT. Arrangements under the direction of Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road.
