Vaudis Reeves Smith

SOUTH OGDEN a€" Vaudis R. Smith passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011.

She was born September 5, 1924 in Brigham City, Utah to Charles and Nellie Hurst Reeves, the youngest of ten children. She was educated in Brigham City, a graduate of Box Elder High School and LDS Seminary in 1942.

On April 19, 1943, Vaudis married Jack Smith. They solemnized their vows in the Logan LDS Temple in 1945. Together they raised four children, Gayle (Joe) Sears, Lynn (Sherry) Smith, David Smith and Terri Woodworth. They have 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She worked at Mt. Bell in Brigham City and G.S.A. in Ogden as a telecommunications operator.

Vaudis loved the outdoors, spending time with family, going on long drives, the Utah Jazz, Lawrence Welk, eating out and feeding her birds.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 14th at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family will meet friends on Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
