“Together Again”
On Thursday, May 2, 2019, Veda Dearden Ospital, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 89. Veda was born on July 12, 1929, in Garfield, Utah, to Stephen Thomas and Lenora Stephens Dearden. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1947 and attended Brigham Young University.
She fell in love with Pete Ospital and they were married for 62 years. Pete and Veda settled in South Ogden where they spent 54 years. Veda worked several years for the United States Forest Service and Utah State Tax Commission.
She enjoyed golf, traveling, anything flowers, the color turquoise, and spending time with family.
Veda is survived by her brothers, Ralph (Betty Ann) and Lee (Reta); her children, Steve (Connie) and Julie (Keith) Bingham. She has four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren who she always gave unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Glen (Marie) and Val (Cheri).
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary. 3408 Washington Blvd.
