VELMA L. DOWELL
Velma Lorene Dowell (Vel), passed away Friday, April 20, 2007, in Bountiful, Utah. She was born April 11, 1924, in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Viola Blanche Moseby and Nolan Carroll.
Velma spent 30 years of her life in Anaheim California. She married David Dudley Taylor in 1946, they later divorced. She married George Clarence Dowell on October 10, 1964 in Anaheim , California. She spent time in Albany Oregon and the last six years in Bountiful, Utah.
Velma worked as a clerical worker for the Southern California Edison Company.
Velma loved catalog shopping and her pug, BOOMER. She played the violin, enjoyed needlepoint, crochet and loved traveling. She spent much of her time volunteering at the hospital for cancer treatment patients.
She is survived by three sons, Ron (Janelle) Taylor, North Wales PA; Jeff Dowell, Corvallis, Oregon; Perry (Carla) Taylor, Fruit Heights; three daughters, Janis Taylor, Corvallis, Oregon; Wendy (Steve) Zengali, Mission Viejo, California; Georgia Freisen, Rancho Santa Margarita, California; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Preceded in death by her husband, George Dowell; father, Nolan Carroll, mother and father who raised her, George and Viola Albro.

We would like to acknowledge our moms “special sister” Betty Lou Lawson and dear friend, Denny Bennett for the extra love and kindness shown to our mother.
