Velma Jean “Velm” Scanlan passed away suddenly, Tuesday, February 25, 2014.

She was born July 3, 1941 in Long Beach, California, the daughter of Fay F. and Melanie Brand Perry.

On December 30, 1962, Velm married Robert Scanlan in Long Beach, CA. She lived with her son and grandchildren since the loss of her loving husband, Bob, in 2007. They are now together again.

Velm will be missed by her family, her friends and the light of her life, Sammy.

Her family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, March 1st from 10:30 to 11 a.m., with a Memorial Service beginning at 11 a.m., at the Hooper 1st Ward Chapel, 5601 South 6100 West.
