Veniece Spencer Taylor
SANDY a" Our precious wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Veniece Taylor peacefully passed from this world, surrounded by her loving family to her Heavenly Father, her dear parents, and son on Sunday, March 7, 2010.
She was born May 21, 1926 to John Clyde and Lillie Spencer. She was married for time and all eternity to her sweetheart Talmage Taylor March 28, 1947 in the Manti Temple. They have loved each other dearly for 63 years.
She is survived by her husband Talmage Taylor, children, Marilynn (Dallas) Valentine, Debra (Paul) Barney, the late Sheldon (Jennifer) Taylor, Patrice Dietz, 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Veniece was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served devotedly in many church callings. She enjoyed serving in her callings especially as ward relief society president. She was also a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple for 23 years. She was a faithful missionary with her husband in the Zimbabwe, South Africa Mission.
Veniece''s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the highlights in her life. She cared and greatly nurtured each of them, and was a shining example to her family. She taught her family to always rely on the Lord for comfort and guidance. We love you, Mom we will miss you deeply.
We as a family would like to thank Dr. Gary Holland and the staff at Hospice for Utah for the abiding and constant care that they showed our Mother and Father.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Crescent 8th Ward LDS Chapel 2080 E. 11530 So., Sandy, Utah. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 So., Sandy and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
