Vera Agnes Stark Stone Barnes

February 1, 1945 ~ February 5, 2017

Our loving mother, Vera Agnes Stark Stone Barnes, 72, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017.  She was born in Ogden, Utah on February 1, 1945, the daughter of Frank and Leona Vera Terry Stark.  She was raised in Ogden where she spent her whole life.  She graduated from Ben Lomond High School.

She married Irvin Rich Stone, Jr., in Ogden, Utah.  They had four children and later divorced.  She married Raymond Eugene Barnes on November 11, 1986 in Ogden, Utah.  Raymond passed away on January 31, 1998.

Vera was a Christian who loved Jesus Christ and our Father, and in faith, returning home to their loving arms.

She enjoyed baking, sewing, and ceramics. Her great joy was taking care of her grandchildren.

Vera is survived by her son, Frank Irvin Stone, Ogden; daughters, Linda Vera Stone (Darcy) Pachuca, Ogden; and Betty Jo Stone (Wayne) Rivera, Vernal; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her older sister, Betty Stark Nelson Mendez.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; daughter, Tracy Ann Stone; parents, Frank and Leona Vera Stark; and brothers, Jerry and Richard Stark; and also former husband, Irvin Stone.

Private graveside services will be held.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
