Vera Runyan Bloomer

Vera E. Bloomer Vera E. Bloomer passed away Thursday, March 29, 2013 at Ogden Regional Medical Center in Ogden, Utah. She was born on November 10, 1923 in Cleo Springs, OK, daughter of Frank B. and Orah A. Runyan. The family moved to the rural area near Saxman, KS, when she was 8. She attended grade school there and graduated from Reno Community High School in Nickerson, KS. Vera married Thomas Edwin Bloomer on October 30, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. She was a WWII Veteran who proudly served in the Air Force. She retired from Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah on January 1, 1979. Upon retiring, she and her husband traveled throughout the U.S. and abroad, and enjoyed life to the fullest. Vera is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 brothers and sisters. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the wonderful home care and hospice staff of CNS for providing exceptional tender care of Vera for many months prio to and during the final days. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. “Rest in peace, love you always!”
