Vera Mae Gardiner

Vera Mae Gardiner, 85, passed away January 17, 2015 in Layton, Utah.

She was born January 16, 1930 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania the daughter of Charles and Margaret Fuchs Mechenbier.

Vera Mae married Benjamin S. Gardiner on July 4, 1950 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was a faithful member of the Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Vera Mae was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Red Hats. She enjoyed sports, boating, Bingo and being with her family.

Surviving are her daughters Nancy E. McHugh, Amy (Rick) Hartle, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brother Norbert (Tita) Mechenbier and her sister, Mercedes Ray.

Preceded in death by her husband Benjamin S. Gardiner and son Todd W. Gardiner.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, 2532 Vermont NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Services entrusted to Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.
