Vera Rae Kelson OGDEN – Vera Rae Thomson Kelson, 74, peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007 surrounded by her family at home. She was born July 1, 1933 in Ogden, a daughter of Walter Rae and Vera Helen Greenawalt Thomson. She was a lifelong resident of Ogden. Vera was the director of the Child Development Center at Hill Air Force Base for over 30 years. She served religiously on several boards and non-profit organizations to raise funds for various charities. Vera loved to bowl, play cards, and have family get-togethers as often as possible. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren and her only great-grandchild, Navie. Vera is, and has been, an inspiration to many people throughout her life and will be missed by all. Surviving are two daughters, Victoria Reeves and Kelly Christensen, both of Ogden; three grandchildren, Nikki Reeves, Kami (Dax) Nelson and Mitzi (Chris) Torgersen, all of Ogden; and her great-grandchild Navie Nelson. Also surviving is her sister Joan Ramsey, South Ogden, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, her son KC Kelson, and her brother Walter “Buzz” Thomson, Jr. Graveside services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery. Email condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
