Vera W. Penrod
PLEASANT VIEW – Vera Williams Penrod, 76, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
She was born July 17, 1933 in Samaria, Idaho, a daughter of William Morse and Olive F. Mylar Williams.
On March 20, 1952, Vera married Clarence R. Penrod in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She retired from the Internal Revenue Service as a section chief following 30 years of service.
Vera loved boating and waterskiing. She also loved traveling and playing golf.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence, of Pleasant View; three sons, Michael (Kathy) Penrod, Thousand Oaks, CA; Kelly (Melanie) Penrod, North Ogden; Brent Penrod, Phoenix, AZ; three grandsons, four granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
Also surviving are two sisters, Lola Boss and Loretta Bosco.
Preceding Vera in death were her parents and one sister, Colleen Davies.
Memorial services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
Family will meet friends at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 10 to 11 a.m.
Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Crematory.
