Vera R. Resch
LAYTON – Vera R. Resch, 65, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008 at her home.
She was born September 24, 1942 in Aurora, Illinois the daughter of John Joseph and Vera Rosalee Mahr Resch.
Vera graduated from BYU with a BS Degree in Education.
As a member of the LDS Church Vera often served as a primary teacher, Ward and Stake Primary President in Alanta and Philadelphia, District Relief Society President in Philadelphia and a Gospel Doctrine teacher before her illness.
She was a volunteer at the Philadelphia Free Library.
Vera loved reading, children’s literature and had a desire to travel.
Surviving are her mother Vera Rosalee Resch, two brothers, James (Jean) Resch, D. John Resch, and a sister, Rose Marie (Stan) Morris.
Preceded in death by her father and a sister, Dawn A. Nuttall.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call on Tuesday one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
