Veranda Josephina Maes

Veranda J. Maes Veranda J. Maes our loving angel passed away peacefully November 28, 2011 in our Heavenly Father’s arms to join her parents Salvador and Anna Maes, four sisters and two brothers. She was born in Saguache, Colorado, October 28, 1925, in a family of 12. She dedicated her life to the care of her mother until she passed away. She later moved to Utah and lived in Ogden for 12 years. She was dearly loved as the great aunt by all nephews and nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of her family. She was an active member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. She was a great inspiration to all her family with her love, faith, and dedication in Jesus Christ. Veranda enjoyed family celebrations and being surrounded by her family. “Young Lady” you will be dearly missed. Veranda is survived by two brothers, Raymond Maes and Leroy Maes; and two sisters, Ilene Marks and Rose Gallegos. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. We Love You, Love, Your Family.
