OGDEN a€" Our beloved mother, Verba Chloe Sessions Buckway Colby, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the age of 95.

She was born in Auborn, Wyoming on April 10, 1915 to Roy and Chloe Welker Sessions.

Verba married Henry Buckway on July 25, 1930. Their vows were later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. Together they had two sons and three daughters. Henry passed away in 1947. She married Jack Colby and they later divorced.

Verba was a beautiful seamstress and a great cook. Her raisin pies and cookies were the very best. She had a great love for her family and music, which she instilled in her children.

Surviving are her four children, Dolores Davis, Dallas (Carol) Buckway, Sharon (Richard) Furniss, Sandra (Lynn) Richardson, 23 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and 66 great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is her brother, Chester Sessions.

Preceding Verba in death were her son, Vernon Buckway, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five brothers and two sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wasatch Care Center and Dr. Gary Christensen for their love and care of their mother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family will meet with friends at the mortuary on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
