Verda Braegger Bott

Verda Braegger Bott passed away Monday, October 5, 2015.

She was born July 12, 1921 in Willard, Utah, a daughter of George L. and Flossie Christensen Braegger. She graduated from Box Elder High School and attended Weber State College.

On June 12, 1946, Verda married Glenn L. Bott in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Glenn passed away in 2001 after 54 years of marriage.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various capacities including many years in the Primary. She loved all the children that she had taught over the years. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel.

Verda worked for the IRS for over 20 years as a tax examiner.

She had a special cooking talent; she was known for her creative birthday and wedding cakes. But most of all her wonderful family dinners every Sunday that went on for many years. Her greatest love was her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Verda is survived by four sons, Lamar (Marcie), Eden; Kevin (Kathy), North Ogden; Brian (Lori), North Ogden; Allen (Lynda), Albany, CA; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, LaRee and Audrne Braegger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, one sister Melva Larsen, three brothers, Roy, Glenn and Harvey Braegger.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Pleasant View South Stake Center Chapel, 3602 North 500 West. The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
