Verda Bliss Nelson Wistisen

Our loving sister and aunt Verda Bliss Nelson Wistisen, 93, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 and joined her husband, Iner.

Verda was born on March 31, 1919 to Chester and Myrtle Johnson Nelson in Tremonton. She grew up and attended schools in Tremonton.

She worked for the Union Pacific Laundry from the time she was 18 until she was 30. She then went to work as a mail handler until she retired at the age of 62.

Verda married the love of her life, Iner J. Wistisen on March 7, 1953 in Clinton. He passed away on January 18, 1994.

She was a member of the North Ogden LDS 3rd Ward. She loved to travel with her family and friends. She was very creative and enjoyed crafting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her brother and sister and their families. Verda was full of life a real spitfire. Aunt Verda you will be greatly missed. Verda is survived by her brother, Dean Ezra Nelson, Whitehall, MT; sister, Elaine Hope Nelson Hensley, Crow Creek, MT; 4 nieces and 1 nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 2 brothers.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary.
