Verleen B. Rose

MALAD - Verleen B. Rose, 78, former resident of North Ogden, passed away on August 12, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 18, 1937 to Amasa and Verlie Baker. She married Earl A. Rose in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 3, 1956.
Verleen attended Weber County Schools, graduating from Weber High. Mom worked in the library at Weber High and Bates Elementary. She went back to school to get a teaching degree and taught elementary school at Farr West Elementary. After retiring, Mom and Dad purchased a farm in Malad, Idaho. She loved the beauty of nature and enjoyed working on the farm with Dad.
Mom was an avid reader. She loved books and shared her love of reading with her children and grandchildren. Mom loved her family with a deep unconditional love. We will never forget Christmas at grandmas. It was absolutely magical!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her parents, and her sisters, Roma and Susan. Verleen is survived by her children, Mark (Tami), Brett (Charlene), and Lori (Dale Rasmussen). She is also survived by her sisters, Marilyn Bennington and Nola Barker. Mom was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, West Warren Cemetery.
