"TOGETHER AGAIN"

With family by her side, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Verna Rea Brown, 81, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016.

The youngest of 11 children, Mom was born November 8, 1934 in Pilgrim, Missouri, a daughter of Lucien Burkhart and Dora Anderson.

As a child, Mom moved to Clearfield, Utah where she later met her life-long companion of 63 years, Donald Francis Brown. They were married on August 27, 1951 in Clearfield.

Mom enjoyed gardening, sewing, decorating and taking care of her pets, but above all, she enjoyed being in the company of her family.

Moms passing has left a huge void in the hearts of all who loved her.

Mom is survived by her son, Donald Lee (Jean) Brown, three daughters, Sandra (Steve) Johnson, Deborah (Jeff) Hadley, Mindy (Mike) Smith, nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, several brothers and sisters, and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State. The family will meet with friends Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
