Verna L. Wilmot

October 22, 1927 – April 5, 2022

Most beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and one of the last of the greatest generation began her new journey at age 94, on April 5, 2022. Upon passing she was met by her sweetheart and the love of her life Willard “Bud” and loving son Mark who had preceded her in death.

Born Verna Long to Jesse and Elizabeth Long on October 22, 1927 in Tooele, Utah. Verna worked at the Tooele Army Depot during World War II. It was there she met Bud and they were married happily for 64 years. Later, after starting and raising her family, Verna worked at Hill Airforce base for over 30 years. Verna enjoyed challenges, word puzzles and was a championship bowler. Verna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Faith and family were the unwavering core to Verna’s life.

Verna’s son Noyes (Tracy), daughter Sherry (Wayne), daughter-in-law CleAnn, 10 grandchildren Natalie (Jaron), Ted, Teresa (Glenn), Lisa (Nick), Lindsey, Eric (Karlee), Angela, Sarina (Frankie), Brittany (Jeff), Anna (Jason), 12 great-grandchildren Anthony, Cody, Kobie, Oaklee, Owen, Oliver, Sebastian, Isabelle, Taylor, McKenzie, Calissa, Remington and 2 great-great grandchildren Tucker and Laynee will forever hold the warm unconditional love, adventurous spirit, wit, determination and zest for life's challenges that Verna shared with them in their hearts as a gift.

The family wishes to thank Verna’s grandchildren Teresa Hughes and Ted Daley for their constant and loving care for the last few years as well as the many neighbors who provided much comfort and company to Verna.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call Thursday, April 14^th from 6-8 p.m. or from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday prior to the service at the Mortuary. Interment Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Bountiful.
