'TOGETHER AGAIN"

Vernon Dwayne Christiansen, 83, passed away peacefully Friday, July 3, 2015.

He was born June 22, 1932 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Harold Julius and Hazel Jackman Christiansen.

On February 20, 1951, Dwayne married Elma Elaine Peck in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on September 21, 2014.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a High Priest, Home Teacher and as a Scout Leader. Dwayne and Elaine enjoyed serving a calling at the Family History Center.

Dwayne retired from Hill Air Force Base after thirty five years of service.

He enjoyed camping, hunting, piloting small aircraft, square dancing, rock hunting, 4-wheeling, and traveling.

Dwayne is survived by his children, Valerie (Dave) Johnson, Couer D’Alene, ID; Brent (Darlla) Christiansen, West Point; Vicky (Harry) Berry, Clearfield; Scott (Lorraine) Christiansen, West Point: LaNoni Christiansen, Clearfield; Darla Christiansen, Clearfield; 22 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Terry (Rayanna) Christiansen.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one brother, Derrell, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Clearfield 18th Ward Chapel, 151 North 1000 West. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, West Point Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain View Skilled Nursing Facility in Ogden for their care of our Father.
