Vernon C. Claybaugh

Vernon C. Claybaugh of Clearfield, Utah passed away peacefully at his home on October 4, 2017.  He was born May 15, 1924 in Tulsa, OK the son of Berdine and Bernice Claybaugh. One brother, Charles, and his parents preceded him in death.

He married Darlene Kilgore on July 17, 1976 at Clearfield Community Church and became a wonderful step-father to her three boys, Mike, Shawn, Lynn, and one girl, Tammy.   Later on he was very happy to acquire grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.  After his honorable discharge he became employed at Hill AFB (U.S. Civil Service).  He retired as a Logistics Management Specialist on July 1, 1988.

He is survived by his widow, children and great-grandchildren all to whom he was greatly connected and loved.

Graveside services will be held October 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
